Hola people . Today in  BEL 260's class , we learnt about non-linear text again . I think Miss Zu can understand that we still didn't get how to transfer information from non-linear text become a linear text-form and in paragraph . So , Miss Zu taught back how to do it . Then only we can fully understand .  She gave  us the example of non-linear text question with the correct answer so that we can know the pattern of the question that we have to do. After explaining about it , Miss Zu gave a question for us to do . She asked us to sit in the non-linear group which she had divided last week . I'm grouped with Fidaiy , Aiman , Rahman and Adli . Since Aiman , Rahman and Adli went to watch football match in JB , so I have to do it with Fidaiy

 .

Okay , non-linear text usually in graphical-form . So we have to interpret the information given on the visual aids such as tables , pie chart , bar chart or any graph , and transfer it into a linear-text form . After discussed it , Miss Zu said we can go back early today since we have another BEL 260's replacement class on the night . So, she wants us to present it on the next Tuesday . Hola people! It's time for grammar presentation again . The presenter were Haziq Fidaiy and Saifuddin . They presented about SUBJECT VERB AGREEMENT AND DETERMINERS. What are they ?

Here we go . Basic Principle: Singular subjects need singular verbs; plural subjects need plural verbs.
It is included indifinite pronouns , phrases , pronouns (neither/either).

Tuesday - 15-01-2013

Hola people! Today we have an interesting activities again. Here we go. As usual, Miss Zu divided us into several groups and I was grouped with Maizatul, Asmidah, Jihah and Adli. What's the activity? Okay, the title of the activity is 'So you think you can act and sing? ' Haha the title already sounds funny right? Seriously, I dont have any confidence to do this because I know my weakness that I can't act and I can't sing. I'm very shy to do that things.

And my group get the theme that we have to act and sing about, that is VEGETARIAN. After collecting some ideas from the other members, we started practised . Me as mummy, Maizatul as my daughter, Jihah as the waitress, Asmidah as Chef Two and Adli as Chef One.

After some practise, it's the time for enjoying. The other groups' acting was awesome but I think my group was the best and veeerrryyy awesome haha. Buy the thing is I think this kind of activities can increase my confidence level. No to me only, but also to my other classmates. ;) Till then, goodbye :)

Hola guys ! Guess what we gonna do with those stuff here. Okay first we're separated into several groups and I was grouped with Maizatul, Farah, and Farahin. We have to draw thing and we got Wrigley's Doublemint Chewing Gum. And the thing is we have to promote our thing with several statements contained of Opinion and Fact. So that when we promoted our thing, the other groups will have to guess how many opinions and facts are in our statements. And the group that successfully guessed will get 2 points. By the way, I'm very enjoying this activity ;) Till then, goodbye

Hola people . Actually I've got mc 2 days due to fever . But because it was my presentation day , I have to be strong haha . Cannot go lah my sentence . Okay by the way , there are 2 groups that present , that are my group and Aiman's group .

My group , Farhah and me , we presented about pronouns . And after that we do a little bit exercises for the rest of the class .

Hola people . In today's BEL 260's class , we had learnt about non-linear text . Non-linear text is about text that are not in paragraph state , but it is in graphic state such as graph , table and so on . It is interpretation of information presented graphically . Based on the tips that Miss Zu gave us , I can conclude that make tis type of question is not that difficult , and not so easy too . Haha . Let me share with you several tips that we got from our lovely lecturer ;)

• Spend 5 minutes reading the graphs/charts etc .
• Make sure you understand axes.
• Make sure you follow lines on graph.
• Focus on the key information .
• If two graphs - compare them.
• Think about the time period - tenses .
• Vary your vocabulary.
• Organize information clearly
• Write neatly :)

Then , to concrete our understanding about this , Miss Zu divided us into 4 groups and I have to group with all boys . Pity me *sighs* . We have to do the non-linear text exercise according to the groups and present it on next Monday . That's all from  me . till then , bye

It is time for grammar presentation and it was Aisyah's and Shahindah's group turn to present grammar . Aisyah and Maizatul made a slide about adjective and Shahindah and Azreen presented about Adverbs. We played game on the end of the both sessions and it was great because i can understand about Adjectives and Adverbs . Hola people . Happy new year and I hope everyone can fullfill the wishes that not come true every year hahaha why i talk nonsense -.- In BEL 260's class today , we learnt about how to find  main ideas in a paragraph . She taught us about all the technique and little by little , we can understand how to apply all those strategies when we do reading comprehension . Miss Zu also played a video clip , Family Potrait by Pink and we were asked to find the main topic or idea based on the video clip . besides , she also played a video clip from the Petronas's commercial during hari raya . As usual , we were divided into several groups and started to find the main ideas . I was grouped with Atiqah , Fatin , Maizatul, Farahin and Aiman . We got second place and it was a great activity . It was a new day after we had a long long long mid term break and the activity today was very awesome and    enjoyable . Miss Zu divided us into 4 groups and we have to choose 1 scene from P Ramlee's movie and my group was me,  Azreen , Jihah , Fatin Izzati and Saifuddin. I acted as P Ramlee's character , Azreen as Ajis , Jihah as Cikgu Ros , Fatin and Saifuddin as parents and kidnappers . It was so happening although it was no an easy task. We have to translate everything into English . I think it was a great job for our group eventhough i felt shy and lack of confident to act . Everyone was enjoying the activity on that day , so do I . I think this activity is really make sense to improve our self-confidence and public speaking in front of the other people . I hope Miss Zu can do more interesting activities next time. :)Till then , goodbye .

Miss Zu taught us about Reading Comprehension . Firstly , we must know all the techniques and strategies that we can use when we do reading comprehension . The techniques are skimming and scanning . Skimming is the process of quickly identify the main ideas . There are a few tips for better skimming , which is read the document or report quickly , only the main point; read the first and the last paragraphs using headings , summaries ; read the headings , sub-headings and illustration . When seeking a specific information , consider reading the first sentence of each paragraph; and take note of any  italicised or boldfaces word or phrases . Skimming works well for finding dates as well as names of people and places . It is also useful for reviewing graphs , tables and charts.

Next , scanning is a reading skill used to find specific information quickly . While contextual reference have four types that are rewording the main word , giving its synonym , giving its antonym and giving details .

Then , we were divided into 4 groups and we made an activity about rreading comprehension . Till then , goodbye.
